Goa has public buses, taxis, motorcycle taxis, rental vehicles and ferry crossings. The right option depends on distance, confidence driving locally, weather and whether you want a fully planned package day.
AC cab/vehicle in a package
GoaParadiso includes an air-conditioned vehicle for the sightseeing and transfer services specifically stated in the itinerary. This is the easiest option for families, international visitors and travellers who do not want to negotiate transport every day.
Local buses
Public and private buses connect major towns and many local areas. They are economical but are less suitable when you are trying to cover several attractions with luggage or a fixed sightseeing schedule.
Taxi and app-based options
Use recognised services and confirm the route/fare before travel where the service does not provide it in-app. Keep extra time for peak-period traffic.
Bike and car rental
Rentals provide flexibility but should only be used by travellers comfortable with local road conditions and all licence, helmet, insurance and rental-document requirements. Read the dedicated bike and car rental guide.
Ferries
Ferries remain part of Goa’s transport character on selected river crossings and can be useful on certain local routes. Schedules and vehicle rules should be checked locally.
